๐Ÿš€ New Amazon feeds: Up to 60 price uploads per hour - now even faster!

Amazon increases API limits for feeds - now up to 60 price uploads per hour possible! Find out how you can make the most of the new upload strategy.

๐Ÿ“ข Amazon has officially released the new API limits for feeds - confirmation came via email yesterday evening! From now on, we can upload up to five feeds every five minutes - a significant improvement for retailers who have to implement a lot of price changes. But what does this mean for our customers?

โšก๏ธ Now faster: New upload strategy for feeds

Previously, we could only upload the new JSON feeds once every five minutes - a clear bottleneck for retailers with large product inventories. While the old feeds still allowed up to 30 feeds per hour, the new JSON feeds were limited to a maximum of 12 feeds per hour.

Amazon has now raised the limits: Up to five JSON feeds every five minutes are possible - so a maximum of 60 feeds per hour. This is a significant improvement, but we are using it selectively. By default, we upload a feed every two minutes to leave sufficient capacity for other systems such as a merchandise management system.

However, if you need more speed, you can configure the software to use more than 30 feeds per hour.

โœ… Advantages of the new uploads

  • More feeds in less time: With up to five feeds every five minutes, significantly more price changes can now be transmitted in less time.
  • Faster price updates: Our customers benefit from significantly faster price uploads, which is a particular advantage in highly competitive markets such as electronics or automotive parts.
  • Flexibility in the event of capacity bottlenecks: If the API's capacity is utilised, we can continue to flexibly switch to feed uploads and thus maintain the maximum upload rate.
  • More articles per feed: Now up to 25,000 articles may be updated with one JSON feed file, previously it was only 10,000.

๐Ÿ“ฆ What do retailers need to do now?

For existing customers, we are changing the upload strategy to the new scheme in the background. No manual adjustment is necessary. For retailers who have not yet switched over, the migration will take place in the next few days. If you have any questions about the changeover or require further information, our support team is available at any time.

๐Ÿ” Conclusion: The switch to the new Amazon feeds is a further step towards making price updates even faster and more efficient for our customers. However, the feeds will only be used when the upload limit for direct price uploads via API has been exhausted - so the system remains flexible and efficient. We are delighted that we can now offer this new function to all retailers!
